Welcome to Crane & Crow!
So happy you're here.
Created to help those in chronic conflict with their bodies to find ease in movement and breath so that one might
exist in their life without the malaise that long-term discomfort creates within.
"You can't get beyond the body unless you free the body itself " - IPR
Massage Therapy and Structural Integration:
Crane & Crow offers traditional relaxation massage as well as Structural Integration (SI) therapy - a therapy that focuses on improving the fascia; which is a wide network of connective tissue, to better align the segments of the body to function properly both in stable posture and dynamic movement.
Whether you're looking for stress relief, or a more therapeutic approach to chronic pain or injury - all bodywork is performed with organization in mind and guided with deep listening.
(Specializing in post surgical recovery, whiplash, chronic migraines and TMJ, as well as Autoimmune and connective tissue disorders such as EDS, Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid and Psoriatic Arthritis, Lupus, MCAS/ POTS, etc.)
Yoga for the Ordinary:
Many people find yoga classes intimidating or inaccessible - they feel that they aren't "flexible" enough to participate. Most limitations or pain in the body could naturally improve if we had a way to increase our natural range of motion and general flexibility - and these yoga classes are designed with the inflexible in mind!
If you find kneeling difficult, can't bend through the wrists without discomfort, or simply feel like reaching for your toes will make your hamstrings detach - we have a modification and bolster for that! (The noises we all make to get off the floor after the age of 30 are welcomed and greatly understood.)
Check on the 'Yoga' page above for more information on class types and to view the schedule. Instructors have hundreds of hours in Anatomy training and specialize in ensuring your practice is functional to help you be as mindful as possible to minimize the risk of injury. If you have any physical limitations or previous injuries/ surgeries, let your instructor know so they can help you modify your practice to stay safe.
